Following on from the recent news about the charity walk that V.Ill Bro Tony Denne’s Daughter and her husband were going to undertake, we are delighted to confirm that Anna and Mark successfully completed the 26 mile walk in just eight hours!
As you will probably be aware from some recent Facebook posts, our Past Inspector General ,V.Ill. Bro Tony, lives with the relentless challenges of Parkinsons Disease, and Anna and Mark’s walk was to raise some funds to support the work of Parkinson’s UK please click here . That tremendous, impressive, and successful endeavour of theirs raised over £2,000 for the charity. Amazing!
Anna messaged us a few days later:
We did it!
We are in one piece, although with a few blisters. It took 8 hours. I just kept thinking about Dad to spur me on.
Please pass our heartfelt thanks to those Rose Croix friends and colleagues of Dad’s for their kind and highly valued individual donations, and to St Mary in Ashford and Belmont Rose Croix Chapters. Dad has asked me to also pass on his personal thanks.
Anna
We are sure that you all extend huge congratulations to Anna and Mark. What a great thing to have done!
Our thoughts, as always, are with Tony and his family as he continues his determined battle against this horrible disease.
