The District of East Kent Rose Croix was extremely well represented at the recent Provincial Garden Party which was held at Godmersham Park. There were plenty of well-known faces who came to say “hello” to those manning the District “gazebo”, which attracted plenty of interest from potential members.
The District of East Kent stand received a visit from the Provincial Grand Master, Right Worshipful Brother Neil Hamilton Johnstone who was welcomed by our Inspector General V.III. Bro Roger Waltham 33°. The PGM is a member of our wonderful Order and recently received his promotion to the 30°. Did you know that the Deputy PGM and all our 5 Assistant PGM’s are also members of Rose Croix? All 5 APGMs attended Godmersham and joined in with the others at the District gazebo. Can you spot them all in the next photographs?
Who is that peeping behind the Rose Croix banner?
Yes, you have guessed it is III. Bro Roger Odd 32°, our former District Recorder who is joined by our current District Recorder III. Bro Trevor Youens 31°.
III. Bro David Alexander 32° also helped out manning the Masonic Fishing Charity stand. I do believe that is cake on his plate and not fish!
Other members of the Rose Croix were spotted who had bought in their classic cars to show at the Garden Party.
III. Bro Malcolm Smith 32° was delighted to display his classic Jaguar, and I must admit I was very envious of his wonderfully kept car. I also spotted E&P Bro Jim Flower 18° who said that his TR6 had only ever got wet on 10 occasions in the 21 years that he had his car! He did say that he would be taking off the 4 wheels and giving them a thorough clean along with the rest of the car when he got home. Just like Malcolm’s car it was immaculately kept.
As you can see from all the photographs a great time was had by all and a big thank you from all of us to the organiser and host of the Godmersham Garden Party, W. Bro Mick Smith for giving the District of East Kent the opportunity to showcase what a wonderful Order the Rose Croix is.
