As Christmas approaches, the following words from our Inspector General have been sent out to all Rose Croix members across the District of East Kent.
“2024 has certainly been a very busy period for us: busy, but extremely positive and enjoyable! The changes that were introduced during the year by Supreme Council following many years of contemplation, consideration, research, and discussion have beautifully reflected the shared ethos of the faiths and doctrines of all Freemasons, whilst continuing to follow Jesus of Nazareth’s journey from Good Friday to Easter Sunday as the symbolic metaphor of our personal journey from darkness to light. Everything about our beautiful Order greatly encourages us in the adoption of love, care, and compassion for our fellow man and woman.
“Those changes are now bedding in well and during the year ahead we can look forward, as always, to our deep enjoyment of Rose Croix. It is often said to me as I travel around the District that there is something very special about the Order which, although difficult to clearly define, reaches deep into our hearts and gives us a very meaningful enjoyment of this distinct part of our Masonic journey. Long may that continue!
“2025 will also see the introduction of a couple of things that, I hope, will assist us in those endeavours. The first is a Membership Support initiative, which will provide caring support to individuals in need through pro-active personal contact on my behalf – without treading on the toes of Chapter Almoners. Chapter Recorders have more information on this. The second is to improve our communications to, and between, members by the introduction of some social media access, which will also enable us to further spread the word to others and encourage them to visit the website and learn more about our lovely Order. Watch this space!
“In closing, it is with great sincerity that I take this seasonal opportunity, both for myself and on behalf of our District Recorder, to extend to you our personal and heartfelt best wishes for a Christmastide full of peace, joy, and love, and a happy and healthy year ahead. Thank you for your continued support of our wonderful Order and here’s looking forward to plenty of Good Ritual, Good Fellowship, and Good Food, throughout 2025!”
