The Travelling Rose has been in the safe keeping of the Hoo Peninsula Chapter since November 2023. It was therefore time to pass it on. A good number of the members of Hoo Peninsula travelled to Gravesend to support the handover to the new recipient. The Travelling Rose is now in the custody of the Gravesend Chapter No 677. A proud moment.
Before the Rose was passed on, the visitors from Hoo were treated to a ceremony of Perfection for Bro Michael Hitchings who afterwards said “the wonderful memory of my Perfection will remain with me forever”.
Illustrious Brother Robert Ryan 30° then presented the “Roger Waltham Travelling Rose” to Excellent and Perfect Brother John Harding 18° who gratefully received it on behalf of the Gravesend Chapter.
As always, a very warm welcome was received by the visitors which was expanded upon at the meal afterwards where everyone most certainly experienced “Good Ritual, Good Fellowship, and Good Food”.
