District Recorder takes charge of Sitis Pro Scientia

On Tuesday 6th December the Sitis Pro Scientia Chapter No 1213 held its Enthronement Meeting. The Enthronement meeting is always a very special meeting in any Chapter’s year but this was an exceptional occasion because the Sitis Pro Scientia Chapter was delighted to Enthrone the District Recorder for East Kent, III. Bro. Russ Wibrew 32°, as the new Most Wise Sovereign.

The ceremony was expertly performed by the outgoing MWS III. Bro. Malcolm Smith 32°. The ritual was both a delight and pleasure to witness by all in attendance, including our very own Inspector General V. III. Bro Roger Waltham 33° and The Inspector General for West Kent, V. III. Bro Graham Higgs 33°.

After the MWS had installed his Officers for the year he was delighted to welcome  Ill. Bro. Peter Brockbank 32°  to give a talk regarding the Intermediate degrees and a history of the King Edward VII Rose Croix Chapter.

This proved to be very informative and encouraged a question-and-answer session after the talk. He also spoke of the Chapter’s  aim to encourage and assist members with their Rose Croix Ritual. The King Edward VII Chapter meet at 10 Duke Street, St James’s, London every month throughout the year except August. This is done under the authority of the Supreme Council 33° of the Ancient and Accepted Rite for England, Wales and its Districts and Chapters Overseas. They have started virtual meetings so keep an eye on their website for more information along with membership details.

King Edward VII Rose Croix Chapter of Improvement

It was mentioned during the talk that the District of East Kent is proud to confirm that we will be the hosts for a King Edward VII Rose Croix Chapter demonstration meeting at the Maidstone Masonic Centre on June 15th 2024. There will be more communications regarding this event in the near future but please pencil this important date into your diaries.

Once the Chapter was closed everyone enjoyed the Festive Board where we were all treated to sumptuous food and very enjoyable company which all in all rounded off a very special meeting.
