A day to remember forever

The District of East Kent was well represented at the headquarters of the Ancient and Accepted Rite (Rose Croix) in St James’s in London on the 14th December 2022.

The occasion was for E & P Bros throughout England and Wales, 5 of whom were from the District of East Kent, to become III. Bros. and have the 30° conferred upon them.

This was for all of them a great honour and recognition for the hard work that they had given to our wonderful Order. It was also one of the most special and memorable days in Freemasonry that will live with them forever.

The newly made III. Bros were accompanied at the Grand East by the Inspector General for East Kent V.III. Bro. Roger Waltham 33° and the District Recorder III. Bro. Russ Wibrew 32° along with other members from East Kent. Their support was gratefully received and appreciated by all 5 of the newly made 30° brethren.

in no particular order these were:-

· Graham Ashley Beach 30° Belgrave Chapter 121

· Ivor Colin Hawkins 30° St Ithamar Chapter 1032

· Peter William Herbert 30° Belmont Chapter 611

· David Martin McKeague 30° Ethelbert Chapter 82

· John Rudd 30° Belvidere Chapter 942

After the ceremony there was a wonderful dinner held by the Supreme Council 33° of the Ancient and Accepted Rite for England and Wales and its Districts and Chapters Overseas for over 100 members of the order. This was held at the Mark Mason’s Hall where all the members of East Kent that had been in attendance for the ceremony joined the other honoured brethren to celebrate this wonderful occasion.

As you can tell from the photographs the “Band of Brothers” all had a wonderful day rounded off by Good food, most certainly Good fellowship and after a day of extremely Good ritual.
