Swale Chapter No 657 were due to hold their November meeting at the Sittingbourne Centre, which, unfortunately, because of Covid restrictions was closed and the meeting had to be postponed. They did however receive a Dispensation to hold the postponed meeting at Tovil, in Maidstone on 25th January, which just happened to be the same evening as the Enthronement meeting of Belvidere Chapter No 942.
A most enjoyable evening then ensued with Swale Chapter holding their meeting at 5.30 pm, followed at 6.15 pm by the Belvidere Chapter Enthronement meeting which the brethren assembled all joined together to enjoy.
The photograph shows the members of both Chapters and two other MWS who attended the meetings.
A superb total number of brethren then sat down to a fun filled festive board.
The whole evening posed a very important question. Is this one of the ways ahead for small Chapters? Should they consider holding joint meetings enabling larger numbers to attend?
The whole evening certainly ticked all of our Inspector General’s boxes for Rose Croix. To be able to enjoy good ritual, good fellowship and good food. That was achieved with flying colours on the 25th January.
So sorry to have missed a good meeting.
