The St. Augustine Rose Croix Chapter 144 which meets at the Masonic Hall, Franklin Road, Gillingham, held a very special meeting on Monday 3rd June 2024.
It is not very often that a Father gets to enthrone his son as Most Wise Sovereign but that’s exactly what took place to make this meeting stand out and rather unusual.
E&P Bro. Peter Reeves, the Most Wise Sovereign, delivered the ceremony of Enthronement to his son, E&P Bro. Matthew Reeves, in a very heartfelt way. You could see the pride written all over Peter’s face as he invited his son to take the chair of MWS. Once Enthroned, Matthew appointed and invested his Officers for the ensuing year. Like his father, he conducted this and the rest of the meeting with enthusiasm, ably assisted by the Director of Ceremonies, Ill Bro. Malcolm Smith 32°.
There was also a very informative presentation made by the District Recorder, Ill Bro. Trevor Youens 31°, of a Supreme Council Certificate to E&P Bro. Vincent Howell.
All in all, the evening was a joy to behold. At the dinner afterwards the enjoyment continued, as you can see by the photographs and the now famous mantra of ‘Good Ritual, Good Fellowship and Good Food!”.
