A Warm Welcome at Stelling Minnis

On a wet and blustery evening in the depths of the Kent countryside at the unique location in Stelling Minnis there was a very warm and cheerful welcome from the Belmont Chapter 611 to all its guests and visitors.

The Chapter was delighted to welcome our Inspector General V.Ill.Bro. Roger Waltham 33°. It was also a great pleasure to receive our District Recorder, Ill.Bro. Russ Wibrew 32°, on one of his last visits in that office before he hands over to the District Recorder designate, Ill.Bro. Trevor Youens 31°. It was also very good to see Ill.Bro. Roger Odd 32° making his return to the Chapter after a long-term illness.

A ceremony of Perfection was carried out in an excellent manner for Brother Peter Fiaman by no less than four acting Most Wise Sovereigns, all contributing to make this a truly enlightening experience for the newly Perfected Prince.

A presentation of their Supreme Council Certificates was made by our Inspector General to three recently Perfected E&P Bros. of Belmont Chapter. His evenings work was not over as he also had the happy duty of presenting Ill.Bro. Terry Tanner 32° with his 40-year service certificate, who within his thank you speech said, “Although I have been a member of 5 different Rose Croix Chapters, all of the changes had been because of property moves. My allegiance to and love of the Rose Croix has never diminished”.

The Chapter also congratulated and acknowledged the presence of one of its guests, Ill.Bro. Lyndon Jones who only the day before had received his 32° at Duke Street, St James in London.

The dinner after the meeting is always a very enjoyable occasion where all three of the following “Good Ritual, Good Fellowship, and Good Food” were more than amply in evidence. The Chapter is looking forward to its next meeting in March where it will be performing a “Double Perfection”.
