End of Season Perfection for Cornwallis Chapter

On a very warm and sunny summer evening the Cornwallis Chapter 444 gathered as usual at the Masonic Centre at Gravesend. There was lots of excitement in the air, especially with a candidate for Perfection waiting in the wings.

The ceremony of Perfection was carried out by the Most Wise Sovereign, E&P Bro David Kershaw 18°, who was ably guided and supported by III Bro Andrew Fermor 30°, the Chapter DC, who performed the First Point. There was also a ‘First” for E&P Bro Peter Rhodes 18°, Second General of the Chapter, who delivered the Intermediate Degrees for the first time in an excellent manner. The MWS presented the Collar and Jewel in an equally excellent manner to the newly made Prince, E&P Bro Stephen Comrie 18°.

With good ritual there followed good food and good fellowship. The dinner was an absolute delight. In the very words of the MWS, “dining was a place of joy” and indeed it was. The bond of brothers coming together to experience dinner and conviviality was most memorable. The wonderful and charming way the Cornwallis Chapter looked after its guests and visitors will certainly live with me for a very long time.

As you can tell from the attached photographs, everyone enjoyed the food!
