Another Stelling Performance

On a wet and dark November night in the depths of the Kent countryside there was a warm and friendly welcome to all the visitors and guests to the Stelling Minnis Village Hall which is the home to the members of the Belmont Chapter 611. The Chapter was also delighted to welcome our District Recorder III. Bro. Russ Wibrew on his Official visit.

The Chapter has grown steadily since it moved to its new base and it was to grow a little more in membership with the Perfection of Bro. Christopher Dix who was proposed by E&P Bro. Peter Herbert, the Treasurer and seconded by III. Bro. Stephen Carpenter, the Prelate.

The ceremony of Perfection was carried out by the new MWS III. Bro. Keith Pavey and ably supported  by III. Bro. Richard Alldridge, the DC, who performed the Intermediate Degrees in an excellent manner. The First Point was delivered by III. Bro. Derek Wilkins, the 1st General, also in an equally excellent manner. III. Bro. Stephen Carpenter gave a perfect rendition and presentation of the Collar and Jewel.

The newly perfected E&P Bro. Christopher Dix said afterwards he “thoroughly enjoyed the ceremony and fully appreciated all the hard work that all the Officers put into making his Perfection a memory that would live with him forever.”

The evening was rounded off by a wonderful meal where there was plenty to eat and plenty of warm friendly banter in the company of brothers who all experienced “Good Ritual, Good Food, and Good Fellowship”.
