Three out of Three at Stelling Minnis

Three’s a crowd !

Belmont Chapter Rose Croix No 611 held its first meeting at Stelling Minnis on Tuesday 9 November 2021. The Village Hall had been converted into a lovely rural Masonic Hall through the efforts of members of the Chapter, led by the Most Wise Sovereign and his enthusiastic Relocation Committee, based in Kent and Cyprus.

The guests and visitors were enthralled by the changes made to the Village Hall to accommodate the various parts needed for the 18° ceremony. The Inspector General of the District of East Kent, V Ill Bro Roger Waltham 33° was present, together with the District Recorder, Ill Bro Russ Wibrew 32°.

The necessary change of the Chapter By-Laws having been agreed by the members of the Chapter and an Endorsement Certificate having been obtained from Supreme Council, on display next to the original Warrant of the Belmont Chapter Rose Croix no 611, the Chapter was then able to undertake work in its new home!

Following a successful Ballot, the first candidate to be perfected was Bro Kevin Barnaville. The Intermediate Degrees were communicated to him by Ill Bro Richard Alldridge. The First Point was undertaken by Ill Bro Derek Wilkins.

The Candidate then entered the spacious function room of the Village Hall where the Second Point was led by the Most Wise Sovereign, E&P Bro Peter Herbert, with Ill Bro Roger Odd explaining the Collar, Signs and words.

The Ceremony was finally concluded with the Third Point.

The Members of the Chapter and their guests all enjoyed a most convivial Festive Board, during which the Inspector General remarked that the Chapter had indeed passed the three tests for a good meeting in their new surroundings: “Good Ritual, Good Fellowship and Good Food”!

We hope to see other Rose Croix Brethren coming to visit us in our new surroundings in Stelling Minnis. Please see the List of Chapters on the District website for future meeting details.
